I was wondering if it would be worth trying using one of these:

to run carbon and GFO? Definitely not as effective as using a reactor of some sort, but I have absolutely zero accommodation for one. Would my GFO get enough flow through it to prevent it from turning into a brick?
Do you think it would be more effective to make a media rack of egg crate to place under the outlet of my Euro Reef instead?
