looks like normal hair algae to me. bryopsis looks like a fern

if its bryopsis it should be pretty obvious.

Thanks, I’ll keep searching ID pics on reef to reef to see if it is something to be worried about or if it is fine in the five.

You don’t need a microscope. Just yank some out or better yet take out that whole pump or whatever, and look at it in a shallow basin or cup of tank water. Bryopsis will have a pretty clear fern-like appearance. Or at least that will allow you to take some excellent pics to share with us.

Yea, I think that resembles it. It’s only in my refugium. Runs opposite of my DT at about 16 hours. What is it?
