Clam Dip?

No, I don't mean something to eat with corn chips. :P

I bought a crocea clam and I'm wondering if I should do a freshwater dip, providone dip, something else, or nothing at all?

Unless someone thinks it's safe, I think I'll just drip acclimate, inspect, and pop in the QT tank.

why do you want to dip it in providone?? :o ..

Just inspect it carefully, acclimate and "toss" it in. I believe people only FW dip when the clam has PM..

I guess in case it has any undesirable critters on it? It seems like a good safety measure, but only if the clam can handle it, of course...

Okay, I did like Phong said. (cause he's always right. ;) )

It doesn't have pinched mantle and I couldn't find any snails. Hopefully it's not harboring anything that will affect some other animal in my tank, but I guess that's what the QT is for. (nevermind the fact that my QT is more heavily stocked than my display tank right now. haha)
