Coral recovering .. should i cut off the "dead" branch

This is a "Blue Green slimer" orginally from svreef i think,

Its was all brown a couple months ago, but in the last couple of weeks it made significant recovery. As you can see the coral started coloring up nicely.

There is the tip where the flesh receded and algae took hold. Should i leave it alone and hope the coral will win over the algae, or should i cut off the algae part?
