corals in tank that you regret

i have some zoas that are taking over an arch that i intended for sps. now i'll have to take the arch out and make a new one.

Good problem to have.
I would just epoxy the sps stick or glue a small rock with sps stick on top the zoas if you want to keep the arch

Ugly corals not worth it, especially those that take up space. Problem is once they start growing I get attached and feel bad getting rid of it LOL

Personally, I won't add ugly chalices and aggressive merulinid corals - unless they're especially nice specimens, they take up too much room imo.

Be prepared for your tastes to change. I originally wanted a xenia-only tank - hence my minimal starting equipment. Make sure if you get an invasive coral, that you can remove it later should you feel the need

I Wish I had that problem with tequila sunrise. They reproduce slowly for me.

Discasoma mushrooms: I have defective candy crush mushrooms, only 1 or 30 will develop green lines. They multiply like crazy, detach, and spread around the tank. Injecting them with kalk only weakens them then I need to suck them out the next day. Tequila sunrises at least die after injecting

Mystic Sunset monti: I finally killed off mine by surrounding it with goniporas. I used to manage it by putting an epoxy barrier between it an other corals but I got too lazy to do it anymore.

This mf still shows up in different spots in my tank after abusing it and killing it over and over for the last 3 years. Pure reef cancer.
