Cultivating Ulva in fuge

I have a little Ulva growing on my skimmer. Every few days or so I pick a small piece off and feed it to my Hippo he/she goes nuts over it.

Soooo, anyone cultivate it in a fuge? I don't have a fuge, however I was considering putting a small tupperware container under my overflow return so I can grow a little more to feed my little friend. Any suggestions? It seems to like a lot of flow and want to be attached to a rock of substrate or something...

It's tough. When you want it to grow, it deosn't. When you don't, it's a super invasive weed :)

That's what I'm learning with my "Tupperfuge". I'm going to try a couple of other things, I think if I go old school runway with AC mesh and place the algae under the mesh to get it to adhere. I do know it likes flow...

Put a few expensive sps corals in with the algae.. then it'll almost be guaranteed to grow out of controL! :D
