Cycling with nassarius snails

How tough are those little buggers? Since they feed off rotting debris on the beach and in tidal pools it would seem they can handle poor water quality?

I was thinking they might help speed up the bacteria pop in the cycling tank, since they excrete pure uric acid into the sand along with any bacteria that inhabit their gut.

Will they handle high N levels?
