Dish VS Direct TV

I'm fed up with Direct TV. Called to upgrade to HD and each person I talked to has said something different and then the price on the order is different than what I was told. Any opinions of DISH. Seems cheaper. How is the sports coverage? Are both comcast local sports stations on it? I'm very unhappy with Direct TV right now. It's funny, I was warned about them saying something and then it would be different when you got the order. Wat ya think?

Sorry to hear that. I'm actually very happy with DirecTV since I got it about 8 months ago. Of course I switched over from Comcast which would probably explain my joy.

The service, as in tv channels and such, has been good. But trying to deal with them over the phone is where the problem is.

It is relatively new. They may have it in your area. It is really nice and pretty cheap overall too. I basically runs through fiberoptics. think my neighborhoods was one of the first to have it in the area. Have had it for about a year and a half now.

We have dish and dont have any issues with it. Have never had issues with price or service. If something breaks just send it in for a new one.

Iv'e owned Dish network for 7 years (good quality, no problems) when I upgraded to HD dish only had twenty channels and Direct TV had 200. I switched and it has been pretty much the same service, like everyone else said-harder to deal with on the phone. BTW Dish network is going to be cheaper because they don't have the overhead that Direct TV does because Direct TV owns all the Satilites, yes it's true Dish network leases the signal from Direct TV. Anyways use either one will be the same to veiw but whatever you do don't use Comcast, those guys are using the same TV cables your grand parents used, at least ATT would be a better choice for cable if you leaned that way because they use fiber optics, but for me Satalite is the way to go.
