Do anemone stings get worse with age?

The anemone's age not mine

I swear not too long ago I could run my hands through my RBTA without any issues what so ever, now the ones with the longer tentacles just graze my forearm as I'm cleaning the tank and instant sharp burning pain, there's even a long red mark the size of the tentacle on my skin (or multiple ones if I get too close). Just makes it a pain (no pun) to clean the glass right in front now.

It may be that you are getting more sensitive to it. Its not uncommon for that to happen over time.

On another note... god damn rose bubble tips! I'm up to 5 now (and I did give like 4 away)... I wish these things were worth more then maybe I could use them to pay off the tank a bit
