Just venting here. I am expecting to get my new tank today, Got an email a few days ago to scheduled the appointment for the delivery. Picked today morning.

Welll.. got a missed call (learned later that its from Fedex) at 6:30am in the morning. I did not pick up the phone, as i'm still sleeping. Well, waited the whole morning, no sign of delivery.
Called Fedex and amazingly learned that there is no delivery schedule for me today. They are happy to schedule a time next week. I asked about the online appointment that i made. The lady first say she don;t know and likely a mistake! WTF

Next, the dispatch told me he called me at 6:30am to setup the delivery and since he cannot reach anyone (he didn't leave message either), my shipment is not in todays schedule. Seriously, they expect ppl to be pick up the phone at 6:30am ? If i have not called back, i would not have getting the package next week. There is no plan to reach the customer after the 1 call in early morning.

I have been in customer service for 20+ years, and i don't understand the way Fedex operate. If the shipment got delayed, i would have understand.

Finger cross i get the package that is intact on Monday.

Arg...

Yeah shipping is a mess nowadays. I’m surprised tank manufacturers don’t use a last mile service like XPO.

I just got a little 6 gal water box via FedEx and it was safe. Hopefully you tank arrives safely, it’s never fun to deal with delays when you’re expecting something as exciting as a new tank.

Yeah...we all have stories.... Over the past 6-9 months, I've had 3 FedEx packages get permanently stuck at a distribution center according to the tracking info. One in Hayward, another in Tempe, don't remember the third one. File a claim, and after a lot of back and forth, they state that it is lost.

I currently have two USPS packages that are in limbo. According to tracking info, the first one states that USPS is awaiting the item after 10 days, the other has been stuck for 8 days in Denver.

Don’t lose hope on USPS despite the crazy tracking info. I received something a full month late, but it was better than not getting it at all.

Got the delivery today but the box arrived damaged. The tank itself is good, but the cabinet panel is chipped/crushed. Noted the damaged, and got the claim number from Fedex, and trying to reach out to waterbox
.

I had an oven replacement part stuck somewhere in Florida for 3 weeks, at some USPS facility.

On the other hand, when my wife went to ship a small box, Fedex wanted $100. Ground shipping.
Ended up going to USPS, $10, arrived in 3 days.

FedEx has been dropping off packages without even ringing the doorbell. I’ve had packages walk away within 15 minutes of them being dropped off.

Not my story, but a friend had an LV bag shipped with adult signature required and all that. They left it at the doorstep, and you guessed it, it was gone.
