Im going to get my first coral for the tank this weekend, any suggestions?

Im assuming a mushroom, a polyp, or a zoo piece. Should I start with just one and make sure everything goes good or is it better to get a couple/few to feed off each other or something. Is there a certain type that is better for starting a tank?

I would suggest something hardy and cheap. What you mentioned should be fine. Try and also pick something that you want to keep. There are lots of cheap, yet nice looking leathers, zoas and schrooms etc. If you can wait, I am sure you can be accommodated at the next meeting.

I say you go with something that someone in the club has grown out. That way if there are issues the reef and your wallet aren't at a loss.

Next General meeting is in April.

In the meanwhile, check out some of our sponsor stores.

I'm sure you can find something suitable and within your budget :D
