Flat worms and Radion

I always had kessil ap9x on this tank and other kessils on previous tanks. For testing I hung an xr30 gen 6 and two 360x.

My torches now have these purple patches. When I touch them they move.

When I had Kessils, there weren't any purple patches.

Turns out they're flat worms.

I guess radions make them come out more.

What do you use to kill them? flatworm exit work on these?

It’s a multi week process. You’ll have to dip all infected pieces to remove the flatworms, but that won’t rid the eggs. Dip once a week for at least 4 weeks to disrupt life cycle, but 6-8 weeks would be better.

I personally would use melafix and/or Bayer, but something like coralRX or Revive should work just fine as well.

I’m not aware if flatworm exit works on this species worms.

Revive for me didn't make them lose grip as much as I would have liked and when the coral retracts they kinda hide even further. I did use potassium salts with good effect (reef primer). Haven't tried Bayer but have heard good things.
