Help I don't know whats happening to some of my SPS

Last night my tank look good (except for my drity glass) but tonight when I got hom my green slimer (pic included) and my orange red braching monti (from DBTC) look baddddddddddd


The green slimer looks like the tissue is ripping off, and the monti looks like it has dying tissue at the base of it's braches.

All the other SPS (acros, pocillis, etc look fine)

What should I do?

hey roc....thats like 6.2 dkh......kinda low .....i believe the norm is between 7-11 dkh. i personally keep mine at appx 10 dkh or 180 ppm

I thought u were posed to keep kh a litte higher but like 120 / 130

I stay between 8.5 and 12 dKh for my setups, my personal setup I try to keep at 9.5-10 dKh.

how does one find a meq in comparision to DKH or KH ppm?

wow using that it says you can rasie you KH 50ppm per day (if the 1 meq/l thing is correct). The bottle of reef builder says only rase 10 ppm per day.


Well the green slimer didn't make it through the night, and the DBTC red-orange monti was way to damaged to frag so both are gone.

I did a 25% water change and added a little extra reef builder and cal to the water, I will check it again tomorrow and see if it needs to come up.

I also cleaned my skimmer, which I noticed wasn't pulling as much skimate as usual, hopefully all these things will prevent any other loses
