thanks

Most Pods are to small to see with the naked eye, and they also tend to stay hidden in the rocks while the lights are on to avoid being eaten by the fish. Just give it some time.

You can get a tiggerpod from Reefnutrition.com. Get some chaeto from other people. My 12G are loaded with pods.. They are on the glass day and night..

Small quantities of phyto feast bled into the system will build up the pod-pulation fairly quickly. Don't use a lot sporadically or you will have algae blooms, just a few drops several times a day works. Better yet a small plastic water bottle outfitted with an air line and valve to drip it in over the course of several hours in a diluted fashion works wonders, plus your sponges will go crazy ;)

I have always found tons of pods from a hand full of chaeto from my mature refugium. Maybe you can try getting your hands on some and just shake it out into your tank.

1) it cans sometimes takes months to establish a stable pod population in a new tank
2) your pod population can be through out your tank but not noticeable because you have a fish eating all "easy to find" ones. My wrasse does this. I know I have tons of pods, but any on the glass are fish food.

The majority of copepods can be seen in their adult stage. Same with amphipods, isopods and mysids.

I occasionally see pod "carcasses" in my sump floating... guessing my solar wrasse cracked them open, ate the sweet tasty goodness inside and spit the shells out.
