It's not done yet. I'm picking up the sump tomorrow. Hopefully I can fill water this weekend if I don't go fishing again. :D
full tank shot.. Only base rock and dry sand for now. I will add some LS and LR when I'm filling it with water.

Equipment list:
Display tank: 50G Oceanic tank. It's only 30" long. I love the dimensions of this tank. I'm surprise that Petco and Petsmart couldn't sell these tanks.
Skimmer: ASM G2 with Sedra 5000 pump (This thing rock)
Light: 250W MH
Sump: 50G sump
Return pump: Panworld 50pxx or 100pxx
Wavemaker: OM Super Squirt and maybe couple modified MJ1200s on a redsea wavemaker pro. I hope I won't get any sand storm with all these flow :D ...
There will be another 29G bowfront tank sharing the same sump as well.
The return pump for this tank will be the other Panworld pump. Light is 64W PC. This will be my display fuge, I don't think I will need much light :D ...

I was going to use the stand I bought from Mike for this set, but it's too low and requires a lot of repair. I will build a stand for the 29G and the sump. It will be quite a bit of work.

Nice rocks and rockwork. I'm always trying to keep our prices reasonable so do you mind if I ask how much the base rock was? I don't want to know where it came from, just if it was purchased locally and the price. Thx-Jim

Hi Jim,
I bought the rock online. Including shipping it came out about $3.18 a lbs.. Yes you can get LR for that price but I really like these rocks :D ..

Elite,

How are those base rocks looking? I bought base rocks and never thought Purple coralin algae and red too would make them look like real LR's.... If I knew that I would have gone the same route as you! Nice aquascape too

They are nice. I like them. They are still pretty white because I don't have much LR in there. I have like 1-2 lbs of LR that covered with coraline so they spread pretty slow. I will put some more in there to help it out. :)

No fish yet. I can't find the fish I want. I might put a bunch of damsels in there and call it a day ;D .. It would be fun watching them chasing others around. LOL :D

Yeah, I have about 20-30% base rocks and the rest are live. It took about 6-8 months for them to be covered with 30-40% purple /red coralin....

After working "REALLY HARD" on the stand for several months, it's now almost done. ;D
I still need to work on the doors. At least the sump is sitting in the stand instead instead on the floor 8) .. The stand doesn't look great but I'm happy since I build it myself :D ..

I also need to hook up the DC8 to the controller.
