Hey BAR,

Just joined this forum and looking forward to connecting with other fellow hobbyists.

I've been in the hobby for 20+ years and have owned several tanks over time, but never more than 1 tank at a time (1 is enough for me ).

I've been a SJ resident for the last 7 years and never really thought to look for a nearby local club, until recently. I'm sharing here my 6 year old RS Reefer 425 G2 setup that is primary Acro dominant. It has quite a bit of automation equipment to help me manage the usual day to day tasks including when I'm away from the tank.

I also have a YouTube channel where I document my journey with this tank. The channel has been active for a long time, but after getting this tank fully operational, I thought it'd be good to revive the channel with a tank tour video. That's what got things going again. If you're curious, check it out along with the other videos that came after it.

Gorgeous tank. I hate to be that guy, but have you started looking for a new tank yet? I just saw another FB post today on another red sea tank blowing a seam. We've got a whole thread with polling data that's gets into it if you are curious. I just wanted to make sure you were aware is all. It looks like you bought new so less risk but not none.

Welcome to the group and awesome tank!

Also, very professional looking video, we may be interested in your capabilities to help create more videos like your as bar is starting to try to create more of a media presence.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

@H20Playar
The tank is actually a replacement to a G2 I had earlier. I made a 3-part video about it on my YT channel and documented the process. Long story short, RS sent me a new tank. I'm not keeping it long term as I have other plans in the near future. The timing of it all didn't give me the option to look for other tank brands at the time.

As for video production, I'm no professional by any means, but I do appreciate the kind words. I may be able to help from time to time depending on timing and expectations.

Welcome to the club! Absolutely beautiful tank!

I have a RedSea 525 G2. The seam started started to fail after 2 years so RedSea replaced it with a G3 (the display tank only). I look forward to the day when I will get it replaced o_O
