How do you define a colony? an SPS with 6 branches or 62? I'm not sure when to mount my frags to a rock or clip them off, can you guy's give me some info on the how 2's or when 2's on SPS fragging. Sost of my SPS are frags that now look like fat teenagers but I was curious about how you determine if an SPS is a colony or a fat frag?

To me - A colony has to be at least 3"Wx3"T ... Any smaller than that is a frag. 2" frag is a good size frag. 1" is an ok frag.
If you check sell thread on RC, a lot of people call their 1/2" thingie a mother colony. Don't ask how big the frag is ;D ..

When it's not going to hurt the "colony" to frag it.
