Hi,

Been staring at the rock in my tank for about 3 weeks now... noticed this one guy that hitchhiked his way in.

Is this a some sort of friendly coral polyp or an invasive anemone? Trying to figure out if it is a good guy or not...

Thanks!

I kinda looks like a zoanthid, but I am betting against that. I think it is a majano anemone = pest.

No not bad in the sense they will eat things. They will sting other things in you display tank though.

I came from my LFS today and saw one of those! I thought it was a rare palythoa so I was more than excitied cause there were only three of them in a tank. They were pink centered and had a head as big as a palythoa. He told me they were like majano and mulitply fast! I was down about that! He said he'd give me one to experiment with but I said no.... Don't need to add to my nudi branch war!
