So in thinking of breaking down my softy tank and just moving everything over, and seeing some aiptasia and bubble algae.. now second guessing and needing to be WAY more careful. I noticed what at first I thought was just some large cyano patch growing, but after taking a picture and zoom in noticed they looked a lot like clove polyps of some sort, but just not as pretty, kind of like those blue ones that everyone likes... until they get them, but these do not look pretty at all, and these f'ers have grown all over the damn rock. Anyone know anything?

I've attached a front shot and a bit of a side macro.

Yeah reminded me of anthelia too but way too short, like this is almost hugging the rocks. And creating some spiderweb pattern of branching out too.... it's a flipping virus!

Looks like a type of clove polyp. I hate them. Nuc’ing them with Aiptasia-X has unfortunately become a monthly chore for me on my Zoa Island. They are easy to kill but always come back from whatever single polyp was hiding in a crevice.
