Do you need to wait for the cycle to complete before adding crabs and snails, I was hoping to have some type of life in there besides my pile of rocks... But I dont want to cause any harm.

Yes complete the cycle. Inverts typically are even more sensitive than fish.

Think of it like this, putting anything alive in your tank before it's stable is like living in a landfill.

However, I will always add a mini CUC before I add fish. If they don't live, the fish won't live. While N/P may be zero, there may be other issues. CUC is a "cheap" way to test a new tank.

do you mean the ugly sea hare? Or in CUC, are you talking snails and crabs etc?

Don't put anything into the tank until ammonia and nitrites read zero.
