New build timeWith the eventual move in the next year I’ve decided that I want to bring my bubble tips with me so I’ll be setting this tank up to make transport as easy as possible. Filtration goals consist of a simple 5g waterchange per week and some chemipure blue in the rear chamber.

A goal of mine is to not bring all my reefing problems I currently have with me(Aiptasia being the main one) so I’ll be cycling this tank from scratch and carefully adding the nems and trying my best to keep the tank pest free.

Got my stand built yesterday(first one I made) and then tank will be shipping out soon.

Probably running with 20lbs of carib sea life shape rocks and 20 lbs of carib sea sand as my filtration will be primarily the rock/sand.

Lighting will most likely be 1 ai prime 16HD from my main display once the tanks cycle is complete in a couple weeks.

Pump will be a sicce 1.0 connected to a 1/2” rfg nozzle taking care of all the flow I will need and keeping a wave maker out of the display.

Haha so true this thing will hold a small truck if needed which I suppose is better. Only (7) 2x4s so for the cost I’m stoked. The tanks super shallow 24”x20”x12”

Yeah, I give you crap, but a 2x4 stand is super easy to build, and super cheap compared to the alternatives simply because you really don't need many tools to do it.

I like it... it's a good looking tank.

I appreciate that it keeps a high water line, and ample room in the sump area for flexible setup. I just run the marinepure I snagged from @Sfork2 , a 100W Fluvel E-series in the back (which makes me also appreciate the smoke glass since i can see the LED screen of the heater is I look hard enough).

Only thing I changed was I swapped up the filter sock for the octocup.

As for nems, i wound up with the OG momma CSB of the Sang Lee lineage. So turned it into a show tank, so to speak... otherwise would have had the DPV or this half-yellow, half-green nem I've been cooking.

I've considered getting a second one. And def prefer this over the IM tanks. Only thing I hate is the etched logo. I hate logos on my stuff... pet peeve, that's all. Lol...don't really notice it but when i think about it... grrr :)

Nice review and I’m happy to hear the waterline stays high and I can use a cup for floss instead of the sock, that’s actually pretty dope. And yea I knew the logo isn’t really the best option and I wonder if you could request to not have it haha

Btw, should mentioned the sump area is super quiet even when water level is low. Unlike the IM tanks that are loud as Fck when water levels fall below a certain point

Looking forward to your build progress!

(I'm in the process of throwing up a biocube 29 i have lying around myself. Might upgrade to a WB later though... have some more nems coming in :) )
