Leak reactor

I picked up this reactor from a member here. After check with Geo, they think it a older style size 412 second chamber calcium reactor. After buying the new uni-seal, oring gasket, replace all input and output to new 1/4” push connect. I connect it to my existing GeoCR612 and found out the lid does not hold water and leak.
The top is twisted type, with out the gasket I can do 1/4 turn, but with the gasket, I can only do 1/8 turn by hand. The gasket it ID is 3.75” and OD is 4” with 1/8” diameter.
Any suggestions to fix this?

man I have never seen a GEO reactor with that type of twist lid.
& I’ve been around a long long time. You should put that thing on your shelf as an antique.
