My pH is high enough WITHOUT limewater, so I don't. I realize I can add vinegar to make it a lower pH similar to liquid calcium, but it really has become a chore.

I had to remove my Ca reactor now im having a PH problem at night. I going to try and use lime water in my makeup water to help with this.

depends upon how much you mix.. but typically "saturated" lime water is something like 12.4 pH

So the water for top off is 12? wow that high What keeps the tanks ph from going high. I mixed up some but I was checking my PH as I added right now my top off water is 9.

I love it - the price is a bit much for a new one, but if you ever see a used model for sale I highly recommend it. I don't think I'd ever go without one from now on...

The pH in the chamber is 12+

I need more info on how to use this stuff. I need to know if you guys adjust the ph to what you want or use it full strength. What happens to the PH when the lights are on.

pH goes up when lights are on due to photosynthesis and O2 release. With lights out, no photosynthesis and no more O2 is really produced so pH goes down. Least thats how I remember it.
