Have some "stainless" garden shears that I use to frag softies and tend to rust shut after every use. Can they be lubed with anything that would be reef safe? KY? :D

Do you wash them off good in the sink after using them? Typically a good washing and drying for mine and they're good to go.

Typically just try to dry them. Lazy, I guess. OK, I'll get off my butt and rinse them.

I have some stainless scissors that I use to frag. I rinse them and dry them, or at the least, rinse and put them on an absorbant towel with the blades open so they do not rust shut. Once I forgot, and they rusted. :(

salt water is corrosive. dried salt water residue is even more corrosive and will rust stuff easily. Always rinse metal tools with fresh water after use. for reef safe lubes, you are probably safe with vegetable oils. I've actually used triflow aerosol and haven't had any issues (wipe down and let dry after use)
