What is the best material to elimate micro bubbles and still get good water flow?

Got a pic of your sump? Do you have a skimmer down there? Filter sock works great on cutting down noise and bubble coming from the drain.

Erik, I don't remember the name of the system yiou have, but have you done an online search to see if mircobubbles are a common thing with that system (I figured there must be something as I have never heard of anyone using it), of course this doesn't mean it can't be fixed, but some pic and a name of the system would be a good start.

I guess you don't have a bubble trap in your sump. You might want to get a filter sock as Elite suggested above.

Check you sump with a flashlight do you see any sort of bubbles getting into/near your pump? Could be a sign of a bad joint connection on your return piping too that's sucking in air.

Erik has a Tunze product called the Combline 500 reefpack, no sump everything is in tank. I can't really find any info online except for places to buy it, and there nothing in the Tunze section on RC about the Combline 500 reefpack
