I awoke this morning to a sight I'd though I'd never see, my Lobo (who is the #1 coral killer in my tank by a mile) ate a Hydnophora frag, and I mean munched it. I'd list what it's eaten, but it would be too long a list, the list does include, orange crush Acan, Favia, a nasty Echinophillia, and now Hydnophora, oh yeah it ate a foxface too...

It's so damn pretty though :D.... I just need to figure out how to keep it at bay, it's a monster and much redder in person.

oh, pretty sucker! Does this guy "eat" everything by way of extensive filaments, or what? I've been looking at getting a lobo

I have yet to see mesenterial filaments, it just turns itself inside out with feeders. Out of curiosity one morning before that lights came on when it was in feeding mode I touched it and was able to lift it off of the bottom of the tank using only its grip on my hand.

This needs to be added to the Coral Wars thread.

Maybe we can start a seperate board. Coral Death match. We can replay out the action with animated clay coral pieces.

Good to know that this is doing good in a shaded area! I have a perfect spot for something like this and nothing would be close to it. I still have a gift certificate for Atlantis but I can't find any Lobophyllia on their website.

I don't think your lobo can hang with my orange crush acan subechinata. That sucker has killed some of my favorites. I can bring it over and we can let them battle like pitbull fighting.

Not yet! But if you look closely there are some zoanthids behind it locked up in captivity and evrytime they try and escape the Lobo hoses them down and puts lotion on them.
