Need help with receding chalice

I recently put this big chalice disk in my new reefer 350 and I'm struggling with it. In the past week, the colony has been receding and now 30% of it has gone. As you can see in the photo, the yellow mouths on the outside moved together.

I have no idea why its health is declining because all water parameters are stable and in range, the light is moderate, and water flow gentle - this is the only coral I'm struggling with, and all other LPS are thriving. I did notice that my blue tang occasionally bothers the chalice, scratching himself in different places.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't see exposed skeleton. New growth could be mistaken for receding as it won't have the same appearance or color/brightness as the rest until it develops?

What's your Mag at? I ask because Ive had chalice go on me in the past until I started testing mag, realizing that was the problem.
