what is a good brand that people use?

Definitely, you actually have to use quite a lot of product to bring your levels up IME

If you do your water change regularly you can use Epson salt that you can buy at Longs to suppliment your Mg.

IMO I would mix mag flake and epson so you get a balanced load. RHF recommends this as well.

Do you buy the mag flake online? Is there a local source? Yes...I know this question is asked constantly...
