Photoperiod

I'm experimenting with different photoperiods. I usually run my halides 8 hrs but with the heat and all I decided I should shorten the hours and see how it affected the corals. One thing I noticed is that the growth slowed down. I'm not sure if it's me but the colors look better with the 8hrs.

Anyone notice any effects of different photoperiods.
