Single heads still go for $100+ Mike, here, there, all over the US. Being there really isn't much in the way of CITES for micromussas I doubt the price will ever drop much on those again :D

I don't know Gresham, that looks like just like a nice aussie "micro" which is most likely a small acan. Those should not cost that much.

You must have the most amazing skills, above and beyond anyone I know in the global industry if you can tell anything from that pic ;)

I happen to know a bit about it and the price is fairly fitting. A bit steep, but worth a G plus for sure.

Well at $100 a polyp I can dig (wouldn't buy mind you!) however I thought the price per head drops dramatically as the sizes get bigger.

BTW How were people getting the stuff home? Coolers as checked baggage with heat packs?

It was a really cool event. Lots of stuff to see, and faces to match online names! :D

The Georgia aquarium was cool, but I guess even with the whale sharks (for some reason I thought they would be bigger) I thought the aquarium would be bigger. I guess I'm a little spoiled with how big the Monterey Bay Aquarium is.

Next year MACNA will be in Atlantic City.

Depends on the seller. That particular seller didn't do much in the way of discounting I must say. And like you, no one would ever catch me buying one coral for the half of a decent down payment on a car or a months rent :D

Well that was one real cool thing. There was a UPS booth at the very end where you could ship stuff home (not really sure how many people really took advantage of it though)

I wasn't impressed I must say. It felt like a decent zoo minus the elephants, not a public aquarium like I am used to. Sure whale sharks and belugas have their place, but if I wanted to go to Sea World I would go to Sea World.

I went back as I missed my flight so I had two more days to kill in ATL. We where listening to the docent talk about the fish and some one asked where one was from. She said Japan and I corrected her saying which island it most likely came from :) She and I went back and forth a bit about how I know that, then I just listened until she said "and we only feed the best".....I pumped my fist in the air and said "yah"....she asked why and I said I am one of their feed vendors :p That part was fun I must say :D

BTW the H&S is 4' tall :) I helped bring it in and pack it out as Fins Reef brought all my stuff to the show (they friggen ROCK!!!)

Looks like a good time, although I can't help but wonder how all of those wild corals especially the efflo looking tables fared as display corals, it doesn't seem like the right hing to do, but what do I know....

I do know I'm down with going next year in AC, it's a hop skip and a jump from my old stomping grounds. I need to hone my "yo", it's gotten a bit soft out here on the fluff coast.

Not that I'm Eileen but....like a 40g breeder foot print but taller.
