reasons for low alk

hey folks,

what are the common reasons for low alk? i'm trying to pin point what might be the probleM

1) Ca/Mg imbalance causing precipitation
2) uptake. Your corals are using carbonate faster then you are supplementing it.

#2 in my case. I use a kalk reactor and use Bionic.
