It's a must see. I've been to a lot and it really is a step above the rest.

Sadly when I went it was a Holiday so it was packed. line all the way to the planetarium to get into the rain forest

I have yet to see the planetarium :( Been a few times and never could get in.

They are cute little babies - I get to feed them on Saturdays. the hardest part was trying to catch only 2 live mysis for each baby. I always wanted to feed more, but they were part of an experiment.

Different, not better, but you should check out the greenhouses at Huntington Gardens (heck, the whole place rocks!!) if you ever go down south and have free time (pasadena)

Will do if I ever get stuck in Pasadena. I never have events there though :(

Rich, "Coolest Animals in the World" :)

Common :D

On a more serious note... I have some EXTRA Large corals I'd like to donate to the aquarium :) Do you have season tickets 4 corals trade program ;)

Rich... Where exactly is the "Coral Reef" in the aquarium?

The large tank I saw when I went there a few weeks back is the tank with the thousands of Fish in it... Some leather Corals here and there, but No Acros and No other interesting stuff... Is there an area in that tank where there ARE lots of corals? or was that just it. I gotta admit. I went there hoping to see thousands of Corals, but I just saw thousands of fish and some inverts and critters here and there.

Of course the other small tanks are nice.... But when I heard about it advertised as the largest Coral Reef. I was anticipating something else?

Was this just my experience of did you all see something I missed?

Thanks,

The tank is very new in terms of massive reef tanks. It does have thousands of corals, they just don't look like much due to the massive size of the aquarium (proportionally). It's still being stocked as well :) It's not going to be looking like a mature hobbyist reef tank for a while.
