sea urchin losing its spines?!

Hi All,

I've had the pin urchin for over a month and over the last couple days it has been losing its spines, I don't see anything eating them, but I also don't see them coming off.....do urchins molt or anything? I got it to hit hair algae, which it seems to ignore....maybe it is starving to death?

Losing spines isn't good. IIRC they're pretty sensitive to water quality. How're your parameters?
