SeaChem Phosphate testkit

Has anyone had any experience with this particular test kit? I have an API one at the moment and it always reads at 0 PO4 but i know it has to be incorrect...I fed flake food for 3 weeks straight and it still showed no increase. Im hoping the SeaChem is a little more accurate. A photometer is a little much for me at the moment but i can manage to fit another test kit in. Unless you guys might know of a LFS that has a photometer and would be able to conduct a test off a water sample.

FWIW, I have Nutrifin kit and it's really hard to read.
