Just to be up front as I can be, this topic
is a follow up from other discussions about this tank.

This tank has Palythoas which are pretty much on every single rock. So there is potential risks involved.
My general plan as of now would be to attempt to work out with the owner to make it a two day affair. One day to break down the tank another day to actually move the broken down and packed up tank. More likely over two weekends.
As far as break down goes. My thoughts are it would be easier if 1 at most 2 people would be willing to give me a hand with the brake down.
I wouldn't wanna put 5-6 people or however many people needed to move this tank at risk of potential palytoxin exposure of trying to attempt to do everything all in the same day. Making there be a need to rush to get things done.
I have ordered 2 half face masks with carbon filters, including goggles, and 2 pairs of heavy duty arms length chemical restiant gloves. And a long handle razor blade glass scraper to cut palys off the glass.
There is other tank brake down gear I plan to get to hopefully make job easier as well that I will possibly detail on the tank journal post about this post.
The rocks will be removed and placed gently into these water tight food grade 55 gallon screw on top barrels and sealed for transport. .
This tank will come with somethings i flat out don't have a use for. Somethings I may give away, somethings I may sale, and something I will need to run the tank. The fish I won't be keeping.
For those willing to help me with brake down, limited to 1-2 people max,
1.) I would be willing to offer first pick on some of the things I don't have a use for or prehaps a fish they may want. (We can definitely figure something out as a general thankyou for helping me out kinda offering. )
2.) I could also cover fast food type of lunch for us probably pizza or burgers etc.
3.) I currently only ordered 2 sets of the ppe gear if 2 people are willing to help i could order more. That ppe would also be yours to keep.
*Ideally I would like to find 1 person near the southbay that is available and willing to do the freeway driving (my car and my gas, I have personal issues with driving on the freeway) if someone else is willing to help as well we could all ride together unless they are near the tanks location in Lafayette CA than they could just meet us there.
** I would expect anyone willing to help me out for a few hours to be fully mindful of the risks involved and be determined to work with everyones safety in mind.
I will be clear I don't have precise dates locked in yet. For the tank brake down I'm hoping for possibly Saturday afternoon after I get off work Nov 30th or Sunday December 1st.
I'm also totally uncertain about thendate for actually moving the tank likely the following weekend if everything works out.
If your willing to help me out with the tank
brake down let me know. So when I know who is able or willing to help with the brake down I can identify a precise date that would work for everyone involved.
Any help with the brake down is appreciated but preference given to more experienced reefers lol who would also be willing to help and tell me what I need to do lmao.
Thanks Michael.
