Anyone with experience using this for red bugs? A friend of mine picked some up since she ran out of interceptor.

Tablet is 11.5mg

Active ingredients on it says:
11.5 mg of milbemycin, 230 mg of lufenuron per tab

If you've used this before, interested in knowing if you used it in the same concentration as interceptor? How effective is it?

Interceptor is all milbemycin oxime. It has no lufenuron. I don't think I would use Sentinel unless I wanted my tank to be a guinea pig.

I had a customer use some of that because he though t it was the same. Some of his corals took a huge hit but recovered. He may have dosed too much though as I recall.

Ibn you know Diana? This can't be just a coincidence...

at 1.5hrs with a dose of Sentinel, there was some tissue necrosis noted already and a test frag.

I wouldn't do it if I where you. I've heard bad things about it. PM me Ian as I have a solution ;)

Er, I mean PM me Erik :)

PP - Sure doesn't read that way to me (working out for her). I have never had any tissue loss from Interceptor and she experienced it within an hour. I've done major over doses of I. and still never seen tissue loss and surely not within the first hour. I had majorly infected colonies (PM) and all pulled through. I only retarded a cleaner shrimp I forgot about. I myself doubt it was anything but the treatment used and not the condition of the colony.

Any ideas why the specificity in only the tort?

She seems to have deemed the treatment at least a semi-success in not noticing any necrosis on the other frags/colonies and the lack of red bugs.

So your treatment only retarded the shrimp and didn't kill it?

Yup, only retarded it. He kinda clicked his head around a lot and swam funny. Lived for a while as well.

The effected colony could have been some how blasted with a higher concentration for one but I'm not even going to venture any real guesses or even give it more thought then I have. Dustin killed a lot of corals to find the one cure and I for one will not sacrifice corals to unknown medications *if* some one else has done the leg work for me :)

PM me Eric, don't play the guessing game with your tank!
