SPS Dying

Roc

I am noticing that several of my bridsnest and acro SPS are losing there color, the only real changes I have made within the last month were to:

A. Move the Powerheads higher up the back wall (which in theroy should have given these SPS MORE flow and they tend to be high flow SPS)

B. I started adding Kent's Phytomax every other day (three drops)

I need to test my water today, but I was wondering if either of these could be the issue.

Was your tank absolutely immaculate as far as no algae before the phytomax? I'm really hesitant to add those things, especially shelved stuff that has preservatives, simply due to the outbreaks of nutrients that can happen. Now refridgerated stuff I have no problems with, except my tanks are already dirty enough that I don't need to add more algae to it. IIRC the corals themselves don't eat the phytoplankton, but the things that eat that, which eat them is what the corals. However it's been a while since I last hear Reed talk, and "the other guy" (can't recall his name, liquid life guy?) who talked about specific sizes of food that various corals eat.
