This is a frag of a coral I got from Ian. It was brown and hiding in the back of his tank. He commanded me with an iron fist and baseball bat to color him up (will be a future DBTC). Ian didn't remember what it was. Anyone have any idea?

I know its some kind of tricolor (valida, nana, secale, cerealis). How is the rest of the piece doing?

Coral is slowly coming along :) The main "body" isn't in the top high light tray where the frags are. That will change when I re-do my racks :-D

The color of that base + polyps @ tip make me envision that being a pretty sweet piece!

Oh and just to get this out of the way 24 :D

I got sticks, mounds, puddles and globs. I blame Jeremy for getting me started on them, and so should you! /shakes fist

I'm gonna say valida just due to the appressed (sp) coralites. Wait for it to grow out and see.

What's with the puddle falling off the plug behind that one?

oh, it just looks like it is way falling off (more than it is). the front SPS is on a plug centered on a cross (coral cradle) and the back guy is in a hole (standard frag plug)
