For the record, what you can tell people is that we are always interested in hearing from them if they'd like to donate a coral or fish. You can give them my work email (mwandell@calacademy.org) and we will take a look at it. What's most important for us is that it fits in our exhibit plan, it's a healthy specimen worthy of display, and it is not harboring any parasites we can't easily deal with. If they can provide a picture, health history and description of their tank to us that would be ideal.
