Switching to a Different Salt Brand ?

It is possible to just switch salt brands w/o any negative effects?

I believe you have to do that slowly. If you change all at once, you may bleach your coral.

I wouldn't change all at once, I'm talking about just starting with another brand during the next ~10% water change. Are there any adverse effects in mixing brands?

I use IO and Oceanic every other week. I have not seen any adverse effects. Sometimes I even mix the two together.

I mix Oceanic (the rest of the bucket) with Kent. No problems so far - it's been about two months now.

OK great I've been wanting to make the switch to IO but always get paranoid over these things

I just switched away from IO. I was tired of the high alk and low CA. 11-12dkh and 300 CA. Currently I am mixing IO and Oceanic 50/50.
