the plague

i got a plague of bristle worms. just took out atleast 30 from a makeshift baited net trap but they still laugh at me in their comfortable home in my rocks any sugestions on how to control this mess i have room for a team of assassins there are only fish in my tank now are a purple tang and a fire fish in a 55 gallon tank... please help im hopeless ???

6 line wrasse will put the worms in check, but be aware the wrasse is going to be aggressive to new fish you put in later.

Sounds like you're over feeding your tank. Bristleworms are awesome at consuming detritus and uneaten food, they aren't photosynthetic or anything so they need physical food to survive. Reduce that and they'll die back, those that die will most likely get consumed as well, eventually you'll reach a steady state of bristleworms.
