The_Lazy_Reefers 108 gallon sps dominant mixed reef

So I started feeding exclusively reef nutrition products and my reef has responded quite well. My sps really seem to like the oyster feast.

Oh man I forgot about the wavelines and how AI ripped off that design. Either way I’m happy since these new wide flow pumps are way better at spreading out the flow than the old jebao style
 
Well I finally started to monitor phosphates more accurately with the help of a Hanna checker. Before the start I was siting at .19 and I knew my little nano reactor wasn’t cutting it. Did I big water change to get it down to .11 and then added the recommended dose of pho’s-rx to knock it down to .06
@Coral reefer was kind enough to give me a brs deluxe reactor which I just finished plumbing in today. Really need to get a ball valve on the UV side of the line but for 10$ worth of parts I’m happy with the setup. Let’s see how some increased media capacity will help me out.

Tanks looking good lately and my only corals that I can’t get to become fully happy are my torches.

Well adding some extra gfo to the system certainly helped as expected. Phosphates were around 1.1 when I got my Hanna checker finally and after a dose of Pho’s-rx and the new reactor online I’m now siting at .02-.03 and I’m feeding as much as I would like since I like to feed heavy.
 
Found another use for the co2 scrubber. It also doubles a monitor for your Venturi on the skimmer getting clogged. Media is fresh and ph didn’t climb as high yesterday so I took a peek at the skimmer and sure enough the Venturi was clogged with macro and wasn’t pulling sufficient air. Cleaned it out and PH instantly started to climb back up. I really need to figure out a way to add something to block the stray macro from entering the skimmer since I have the refugium before the skimmer little pieces tend to drift inside.

I’m looking to have my UV pump also feed my BRS deluxe reactor with flexible tubing. 3/4” ID tubing currently going from the pump to the UV, 1/2” ID to the reactor. That involves T‘ing it somehow and probably push-fitting a flexible tube into the reactor, which I see you’ve done. What size/type of tubing is that going into the reactor? I have the hard tubing that comes with it but that doesn’t play well with barbed fittings. Regular 1/2” ID tubing doesn’t push fit, so I’m assuming something a little smaller? @Coral reefer?
