Just FYI. My RO DC return pump is 4 years old now and still going strong.

If your going DC the RO brand has been the most reliable that I’ve seen.

I do plan on replacing mine if I find a good deal during Black Friday. And that’s only because it’s so old. I’ll keep the old one as my spare.
@Mozby also suggested a varios pump so I have my eye on one for a hopefully good deal on Black Friday.

I have a number of Vectras currently running. The longest is an M1 that I’ve running for 4.5 years. It gets a cleaning maybe once a year. In my book they’re a solid product.

I’m sure calling/emailing ecotech customer support could get you a new impeller. I’ve had really good experiences with their support when I needed for an mp10.
I bought it used and have no idea how old it actually is so I’m unsure if calling them will do me any good but I guess it couldn’t hurt to ask.

Well when I noticed my consumption rates almost doubled and adjusted my doser accordingly I didn’t think to check mag. Corals have been good but not their best the last couple weeks and my mag is now actually moving lol. Went from 1340-1240 in the span of 2 weeks. So I grabbed some Kent mag and slowly dosing it back up to normal for my tank and will probably figure out a dosing schedule in the coming weeks but for now it’s a dump and run till it’s normal.

Wow, that is beautiful! I really like the variety of corals. I bet the motion of the nems and Euphyllias is cool to watch. Do the fish and shrimp go around exploring different caves? Did you try to place the anemones where they are shown in the photo? Looks great. Are they staying put?
Completely missed this post. To sum it up I’ve found rose anemones do whatever they please while rainbows tend to stay out given the right environment and good crevices for their feet

Getting some fragging in tonight.

Just got my package from sicce today! Will be installing a new SDC 9.0 return pump and replacing my jebaos with a pair of their SDC Xstream wave pumps. Flow upgrade was much needed.

Install will be going down tonight. Hopefully I can get some better flow patterns with these pumps.

Went smoothly since unions are a godsend. The SDC 9.0 pump sure moves some water, slight humm but nothing out of the ordinary for that size pump(was told it would do so)Had my old return at 85 watts 1750gph(debatably) which needed more oomph and this pump now moves so much more water for my RFG nozzles at only 51 watts of its maximum 91 watts. The wavemakers were a little clunky to setup but once paired seem nice. Strong wide flow that doesn’t destroy corals with a slew of programs and presets to play with. Currently just have them pulsing at 30/70% and I much prefer them over my jebaos although the profile certainly isn’t as slim.
