I'm wondering if the club gets any ad revenue when members click the banner ads on the site?

If so I'd rather click through to those sites via the banner ads rather than my own URL address bar.

no, it's purely a service to the sponsors. The sponsors don't pay any money for click throughs, nor do any other reef sites like Reef Central, Reefs.org, manhattan Reeds, etc. It's not the norm in this industry.
