I currently have a vlamingi tang that has gotten huge in the last year. This fish has been in this tank for 3 years and recently started pushing over 12 inches. Sometimes I think he needs a bigger tank than 180 but worry no one will take care of him like the care he recieves now. When and what things do others use to decide that your fish is too big and needs a new home. Another thing is that he is really gotten alot of width too so he isnt a skinny little long fish. Yes he does have swimming room, yes he is happy.

Max will take your fish if you bring it to him.. 12" is too big for a 180G..

Max won't sell her fish though will he? I think Amy is worried that it might be sold or given away to someone that won't care for it like it has been. At least for me, that is my biggest concern when giving away any live animals.

For max it would be one of two options.... sell it or put it in one of his displays. You'd have to ask him.
