Diatom?

My white rock is turning brown. Accelerant when i turn on the lights. Is this diatom?

I have a lot of flow in the tank, i think.

2x NERO 3 @ 1500gph
2x Sicce Nano @ 500gph
Return pump @ 500gph


Lights will be off for now.

Tank is about 2 months old. The rocks have been in the tub since December, so about 4 months.

just an ugly phase during the cycle. its time for some cuc (clean up crew). get yourself some snails and hermit crabs.

You want to leave the light on to feed the diatoms. Once they consume all the silica in the rocks, they’ll die.
