Hi everyone.

Here is my tank journal of my Red Sea Max 250.

I got this tank free from my brother which he is upgrade to Red Sea Reefer 350.

This is a all in one 65 gallon tank.

I know nothing about saltwater back in September 2020. With little to no knowledge about saltwater, I keep on bugging my brother about finding nemo and how to setup the tank with little to no maintenance but of course there no easy way to do so. Reason why I want finding nemo is because of my kids which was (3 years old daughter and 1 years old son) First, I bought my blue tang with yellow belly (Dora), and of course I bought a pair of clownfish. I got 2 snails from my brother also. I understand nothing about par or anything and come around the black friday in Nov 2020. I forgot how much was discount at California Reef Company in Newark, CA but that is the first time I saw all the different color of coral etc. I spent close to $300 in corals and thought the tank will look perfect. After few weeks, some of the corals start dying and I dont understand why. I start to feel the coral like shrimps etc and thought they were hungry or something. I had few anemones from my brother and I wanted more of those anemones so I google on how to make more them. I saw some video stating that I need to cut them in the middle to split into two. Slowly, all the anemones are dead and I was upset and do not know why. While this happening, snails started to produce and made hundreds to thousands to a point that my tank are full of baby snail shells everywhere. Moving forward, I gave up on the tank for few months with algae growing and not taking well care of the tank. My brother upgraded his Red Sea Reefer 350 to some other fish tank, he gave me the Red Sea Reefer 350. I cycled that tank and becoming my angel fish tank with rock and no corals. I still have my blue tang with yellow belly and a pair of clownfish which originally got it for my first tank in my Red Sea Reefer 350. After moving all the fish to the new tank, and by this time, most or all the corals die in the Red Sea Max 250. I decided to clean the fish tank and bleach all the rock to start fresh. This took 2-3 months to clean since I take my time to do so with work and family.

Beginning of this year of 2022, I finally cycle the Red Sea Max 250 for 2-3 months with wave maker and the built in pump to cycle the water. I begin to put some of the fishes from Red Sea Reefer 350 into my Red Sea Max 250 which are corals safe. Some times in April, fishes and corals started to add in and this is currently picture of my fish tank.
