Cheato pruning today...tried my best to get as many pods and brittle starfish off and back into the fuge....a lot less cramped in there. Let's see how long it takes to fill up again.

Used my new black Friday tools, a Hanna ALK and ULR Phosphorus checker and got the following readings:

ALK- 11.3
CAL- 400
PO4- .08

Time to adjust my dosing pumps..

CAL- 500
ALK- 9.2

NO3- 7.0

Fairly large changes to ca and alk. Any idea why?

I increased my CAL dosage to get it a bit higher and also decreased my ALK to get it closer to 9.5...reduced my CAL dosage today, so we'll see how it looks next weekend. Also Reef Crystals has a higher level of CAL (and ALK) so that increase may just be from the recent WC.

Got a new "UFO" LED (150w) to light the fuge....also pruned the cheato so we'll see how this one performs against the old one. (50w)

And it looks like we may have a bunch of captive bred clownfish....The RBTA has been deflated over the last week and a half and today we noticed on the sandbed that their is a clutch of yellow eggs the clownfish are caring for...
