Manifold off of return pump or dedicated pump?

I've always read that manifolds off a return pump can create inconsistent fluctuations that would actually cause things like a drain to be super noisy (since it's inconsistent). Is this true? I feel like it's a little strange that could happen, unless the valves being used are really flimsy for whatever reason.

I have limited input but generally for reliability 2 is better than 1. So that’s gets my vote.

The reason I have for this is, as recommended, I will be running my UV sterilizer on the return, so the only thing I'd need an extra pump for is a chiller that *may* run once in a blue moon. I was thinking of just making my return a manifold for the chiller as well.

The UV will run in parallel, and merge back into the return line (just so I can control the flow), the chiller would drain back into the sump (and yes, I'll probably re-chill some of the water again, maybe not a great idea?).
