More free crap--working Laptop computer

My GF has a Compaq laptop that she bought in 2005. Looks to be in good shape. The only thing wrong we can figure out with it is that the wireless internet won't work no matter what we do. Otherwise she says it works great and will work if you directly connect it to DSL/cable.

So, if you have a teen who could use a laptop to work on school papers or whatever this might come in handy.

Thanks Arnold, she's had a new one for a while now so no need to fix it. The IT guys at the Academy looked at it but couldn't figure it out either. Probably not even worth the time or effort.

I can play around with it/tinker with it. If it's about to hit the trash can (erm, recycling center) then I'll take it, but if someone with a better use (ie the aforementioned teen use, etc) comes along, then by all means put it to good use. I'll probably just load a linux of some sort.
